    A Little More Conversation

    Nos

A Little More Conversation is a breakthrough podcast created to promote honest and meaningful discussions about mental health within the Advertising Industry, brought to you by Lacyn Clarke and Chloe Heatlie at Adelphoi Music.

In episode six of the podcast, they chat candidly with Park Village director Nos (aka Ntando Brown) about mental health in the black community and some of the challenges that young directors face entering the industry today.

A self taught director of the self proclaimed ‘Youtube Generation’, Nos cut his teeth as a stills photographer, before honing his craft and building a body of thought provoking and distinctive film work for brands including Fred Perry, Lacoste and Reebok. Fans of grime music and its history may also be familiar with his work on Channel 4 documentary 'Pirate Mentality', which examined the influence of pirate radio on the British music scene or through his acclaimed piece of storytelling for Che Lingo’s 'My Block', which was hailed for its bold depiction of Black British identity.

In a refreshingly frank conversation, Nos shares his personal experiences with Mental Health, his thoughts on elitism in the industry and the importance of empathy, perspective and listening in order to gain a better understanding and acceptance of each other.

"Especially in this industry, constant self-examination and communication has to be the only way to stay on top of your mental health.” Nos, Park Village.

“It was such a pleasure chatting with Ntando, he has such a unique perspective and a genuine passion for people which I think really truly sets him apart from the rest and allows him to create art for everyone.” Lacyn Clarke, Adelphoi Music.

Lacyn and Chloe insist they are not medical professionals, just two gals hoping to open up the conversation surrounding mental health over a cup of tea, albeit virtually for the moment. If you  would like to get involved in an episode, please get in touch with them!
